Within its industrial design walls, the Hotel Granados 83 houses a fascinating collection of Asian art. There are seventy pieces displaying a great stylistic variety of Hindu and Cambodian art from the 10th and 11th centuries AD. These include the spectacular Indian reliefs gracing the lobby and hotel bar, 8th century Khmer art and sculptures, rich representations of the Buddha, and the Hindu pantheon showing the evolution of traditional Indian art.
Inside the rooms and public spaces, there are smaller pieces, carved doors, window lattices and a small altar. Its unusual collection of wooden bars taken from the structure of the ceremonial carriages used in religious festivals is worthy of particular note, as well as a collection of Roman mosaics harking back to the great patrician villas of the 2nd-6th centuries AD.
